- Stakeholders ask, “Can we make it 100 percent accurate?”
Now you are stuck.

A weak TPM says:

A strong TPM asks:
- What queries are failing?
- Do we have training data for those cases?
- Can we define acceptable accuracy instead of perfect accuracy?

How AI Programs Actually Evolve
Another major shift is lifecycle.
Traditional thinking:
Build → Test → Release
AI reality:
- Idea Identification
- Proof of Concept (Can it work?)
- Pilot (Does it work in limited real usage?)
- Production (Can it scale reliably?)
- Optimization (Can we improve continuously?)
Most failures happen because teams try to jump directly to production.
A TPM prevents that.

Stop asking:
- “Can we build this feature?”
Start asking:
- Is this use case actually valuable?
- Do we have the right data?
- What are the risks if the model is wrong?
- How will we measure success?
This is where TPMs move from coordinators to program leaders.

- Treating AI like a normal feature
- Ignoring data dependency
- Expecting perfect outputs
- Skipping PoC and jumping to production
- Not defining success metrics clearly
If you avoid just these, your execution maturity jumps significantly.

Do not just understand concepts.
Apply them.
Pick one use case from your current or past work:
- What problem does it solve?
- Who are the users?
- What value does it create?
Then go one level deeper:
- What data would you need?
- What risks might appear?
This is how you start thinking like an AI Program Manager.

This program is not about learning AI tools.
It is about understanding how execution changes when systems stop behaving predictably.
And once you understand that, you stop reacting to problems.
You start designing programs that can handle them.
